Dee, this is just so beautiful to me! As is all of your work. I don’t know what it is about the way you combine these fabrics…they are always so interesting and balanced with fun surprises. Looking at these amazing creations is so uplifting.

Hi Jenni-lynn. Why thank you! I appreciate your comment and your specific response. I was shocked, for some reason, to see that I had made it in 2008. If I had guessed the year this morning, I would have picked 2010!

Thank you Kristin – It is meant to be very loud. Don’t you sometimes feel like the world is melting and no one is doing anything?!!

Absolutely Dee…and somehow those who write, those who create in any form have a task, if they choose, to set things ablaze with something new…something stimulating…something thought provoking…and what a gift it is to be able to participate in that process of creating.

    love this!!
quite how you manage to have all the different fabrics and still maintain a beautiful balance, I don’t know, but it works
I was just thinking about where I stand in the turmoil-of-life-today and can/should my art be making an statement, a difference even?? now I see you just went ahead and did by making something that IS a statement, thanks Dee.

Thank you Michelle!! I heard a great quote the other day about politics and global warming – it went : “It’s as if we are in a speeding car headed for a brick wall and fighting over who gets to sit in the front seat.” Wish I cd remember who sd it…

Saskia – when these ‘statements’ come, it’s not because I want to DO or SAY something, but because it is coming up and out of me… in the same way something more whimsical or decorative does. I love your work and to keep going with it IS to make a statement.
