light near the ides

In a rush.  Have to go pick up D. at the high school.  Better check texts first, so I don’t show up and wait, while he goes to J Block. In the meantime, quick update on new project – I’m approaching another deferred commission SIDEWAYS.

Drawing from photos.  Gathering fabrics. Getting a sense of what colors will capture something or other.  It will feature the Sawtooth Mts in Montana, and possibly some cattle.

It is hard, having never been to Montana, but I am committed to not getting in my own way here.  I will avail myself of the many, many pictures online and stay the course with play and metaphor… If I try to execute a literal landscape, I know from recent experience that I will get lost.

And now I’ll leave you with a picture of my fridge from the morning… out of focus, I know, but it nevertheless captures something of the exuberance of the post-election mood (Petraeus or no, fiscal cliff or no).

Yeah!!!!!

Love this photo so much. I worked the streets for Obama in goofy ole Florida. Could not be happier about the outcome. Good luck with your new commission. I know it will be fabulous.

ah, another commission–may the force be with you! and yes, to four more of Barack and Michele! I voted absentee as a “US citizen living abroad” so it was bizarre watching from afar on Wednesday morning as results came in, but I’m ever so glad my state (New Hampshire) stayed the course, with the Pres as well as the country’s only female Dem. Gov’nr!

jenni-lynn – hope FL can reform their counting methods… the delay kind of rendered the vote down there irrelevant. That would have bothered me as a citizen…. did it bother you?!

Ali – yeah for absentee ballots! Here in Mass. we are proud to be sending out first female Senator to D.C.
