strap on, strap off

Blurry, abandoned, with unpicked thread remnants, this strap captures something of my mood – oh maybe I don’t feel THAT off, but a little off.
IMG_2091It was one of two attempts to hook something handle-like onto this pouch, which itself couldn’t decide whether to hang on the wall or fold up into something else.
pouchanddeckNow it has stitched up sides, more stitching around the challis moon, and a new button loop.
IMG_9637But I can’t stitch on the button and call it done this morning. Must walk dog. Bathe super quick. And then head up to Salem, with the hope that I don’t get hammered by rain on the way home.
waterforbirdsThe good news: AC in the mini-van has been repaired, sort of. More good news: I seem to have less and less to prove (more like: accomplish) with my sister. “Keeping it simple” has never been a better prescription for success!

Its hard to hold on to an agenda when you are caring for someone long term. Its always seems to devolve into what is needed in this moment. Maybe your beautiful little pouch can hold some of your sisterly hopes and frustrations. Good luck with the rain.
