C is home. Two nights, one of them not here. We celebrated his birthday early last night. He interviews for a job this morning and then heads off to spend the rest of the break with his girlfriend. 
New discovery: when I have three consecutive days with “nothing on the calendar” I get a lot of writing done. Hurray!
