Too much blue? Added more today including at rooflines. Those are the pieces I’m considering taking off.
The bottom dark blue floral strip came from a pair of rayon pants I bought a couple of weeks ago.
More progress shots, just for fun.
Another rainy day here. Spent part of the morning at a program for the 21st Annual Mother’s Day Walk for Peace.
wonderful palm sky! SO love the woven cloth part of the house and the bottom of the quilt.

Thanks Kristan. Ever since I learned Jude’s method of cloth weaving, I’ve been unable to stop
I love the sound track! Love the various incarnations.
looks like it was a fine day.
A high school band played under the eaves as people walked by.
cold and damp here. I like the jungle feel here. A jungle of emotions.
Cold and damp again this morning. I sd to K: I think someone moved us to Seattle without telling us. Green green green. But I cd use a little sun.
Here’s my two cents on the blue: I LOVE the triangular cut-outs in the house and I would suggest keeping the blues but maybe minimize the number of blue pieces or the intensity of some of the blue pieces, somehow? such beautiful work!
Others have said so. It’s time for a quilt with hot colors!
I like the blue on the roof; it brings your eye up to it and balances the whole piece.
Thanks Sue. I will probably leave it.
a tropical dream home
It’s eighty today. If I’d known I’d have finished this piece weeks ago!
Love to see this all. I was sick on Mother’s Day, still am. But, I’d love to go live in your island house, that’s for sure!
