It took a while to get going, but alligator butchering scene in revision.
The season: five extra pounds (already?) and the need for an additional hour of sleep a night. Hard not to judge myself.

I hear you and share in the judge-fest … even as my rational mind says “your body senses the return of the cold and with it the lean times … it is preparing itself.” In any case, you wear it well.
And if I had an apron that seriously cool, I’d wear it, too!
I’ve worn that apron to shreds. Maybe it’s time to make another one. Some years I feel the change of season less. It seems a little drastic this year.
Ummmm now I to am hungry for meatloaf …. oh and yes that apron ..
I LOVE IT!
It was tasty. Tonight we actually have the heat on a little.
vintage chic
That’s me. Chic all the way!
Mmmmm. Comfort food an an iconic apron! I think you’re on the right track.
Tonight: roasted chicken with goat cheese, chives, thyme, and rosemary under the skin, braised red cabbage and apples with a green salad. And it’s dark already!
(don’t be too harsh on yourself …. 😉 …!)
Comfort is okay !
Yes it is and I eat comfort food all the time. I also want my jeans to fit. 🍎
you look lovely!
loving the apron, am inspired to make one myself, I don’t wear one, even if I should
thanks, again! it’s funny what an apron-wearer I’ve become… so much so that when I know I’m going to be in the kitchen at friend’s or family’s, I bring one along. I like it to tuck a kitchen towel in… always a place to wipe my hands.
