The sight of his fingers and neck repulse me. His sniffing makes my skin crawl. I mostly don’t listen to him speak but when I do I cannot believe how moronic and shallow and disturbed he is. He sounds (and is) impaired.
Did any of you watch his propaganda movie trailer about peace with North Korea? There are no words.
Between the embarrassing G7 and the worrisome Summit with North Korea, there’s hardly outrage left for caged children, a NeoNazi on the Republican ballot in Virginia, the way the assault on reproductive rights is gaining momentum, concerns about GOP disenfranchisement efforts, and Russia’s continued election interference.
The Canadian Parliament unanimously condemned our president with hours of Trump’s departure – highlighting in the most painful way possible the cowardly silence of the Republican Party.
Throw us a bone, courts, and revoke Manafort’s bail on Friday. Please! Something!
Our house stands with yours, Dee. Will this country and Constitution survive this…….scary.
It just keeps escalating. And escalating.
(((Dee))) the Vogons have taken over (The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams 1979)
Do you think it’s time I finally read what classic?
I need to read it again along with Ben Elton’s “This Other Eden” (1993)
Have you read the Charles Blow op-ed in the NYT? https://www.nytimes.com/2018/06/06/opinion/trump-central-park-five.html
Sometimes I think he’s just a stooge … the long game is the Republican stacking of the judiciary with conservative judges while we’re distracted by the chaos the the White House
Wow. Leave it to Charles Blow. When I heard him speak at the ACLU dinner in Boston last year, he was mesmerizing and talked about how Trump was attacking both decency itself and the idea that facts should matter.
I have given up the idea that trump has any sort of plan whatsoever. I don’t even think he throws out divisive twitter bombs to distract from his own wrongdoing, as I know some do. I see him as unable to control his impulses, completely and wildly so because he lacks a functioning adult personality structure. And as Blow points out he is motivated by hate. As the recent Pod Save America guys point out — he’s motivated by the accumulation of power and nothing else. He uses hate to that end.
Yes, everything about him is disgusting – I am so much with you!
The response to him is about so much more than political disagreement, isn’t it?
YES
(he really is awful)
What is the worst .. is that his following is growing. When Bush was voted in for a 2nd term I became a US citizen. If this Xxxxx wins a second term ??? I have no ideas. But we need to start believing that it is possible …
I am hearing the second term stuff too with abject dread. The reason his base is growing is because of state sponsored media. Totally unhinged from fact.
I once wanted to visit America; no longer. I feel so sorry for you and I am so glad I don’t live there. But I feel even more sorry and afraid for the rest of the world. Just an Aussies perspective.
Well we are in deep shit here. The estimates about how long recovery will take is ranging I. the decades. The decimation of the state department perhaps longer. And this is IF we can get the autocrats and corporate loyalists out of power. By no means a sure thing.
shocked, angry, embarrassed , disbelief, I want him GONE.
It has become such a nightmare.
Selfishly, I feel this is one lousy, rotten historical moment to throw at my old age, and a damn shame for our Country. If I believed in an established God, I’d be vilifying his sense of humor and denying him (it would be a him) prayer. Speaking of ‘him’, here’s Steve Martin performing his brilliant “Atheists don’t have no Songs”
I´m afraid – it concerns the whole world.
he does have a face like a slapped arse, and the personailty of a slug.
I remember feeling disbelief when Reagan was re-elected … but thinking “we can survive this”
I remember when Shrub got re-elected … thinking “seriously? but we survived Reagan, we can survive this, too”
I don’t think we can survive the re-election of the current administration … neither as a nation, nor as a world
I’m with you here. “This is the most important election in our nations history” is not hyperbole.
