Look what the addition of Deb’s hand dyed fabrics did to the formerly pedestrian patchwork (below).
Pieced it up yesterday and did some cleaning today.

I’ll sign off with this blast from the past — taken during a visit to a Wolf Preserve up in Ipswich. Both boys were so blonde back then! K was always good about getting us camping or hiking or fishing — such a gift to the boys and something both carried into adulthood.

This is so beautiful Dee! One of your best stained glass cloths yet! There are parts where the seams add an optical illusion aspect. The process photos are a perfect explanation of why I haven’t wanted to pull out fabric…I have no space here! Your boys look so sweet, innocent in this pic and looking like their daddy. Thanks Nancy. Yeah the ironing board and piles of fabric really trash up the living room. But I somehow manage to live with it and so does my husband, thankfully.

I love that pic of your way-back men. Meant to post a fave of J and T fishing for the first time – for both of them – in the Adirondacks. There was a similar momentum at play for us. J thrived on finding us day or camping trip destinations that held strong hiking appeal. T. has carried that forward as well. Obviously not at the moment but overall for sure.
My boys were always the ones who knew how to build a fire when camping with friends. Seems pretty basic, but maybe it isn’t so basic.
Love the stained glass effect in your panel. Also the whirl of fabrics after ‘the choosing’.
My dog eats fabric so I can’t enjoy the effect!
I don’t know WHAT I’d do if my dog ate fabric, Patty! Though Finn does love a good dish towel. Most have holes now.
It’s a mess here, seems to bother me more in the humidity and hot.

Mess is worse in the heat, I agree. And I miss my boys too. For some things, zoom just doesn’t cut it.
