This morning, I woke at 3:30 to the sound of luggage being zippered. Then fell back to sleep. If history is any indicator, it’ll snow a foot this week.
In K’s absence, I plan to eat down the freezer a little. And the pantry. Can I make it the week without any new food?

(((Dee))) good luck with reading Richards Flanagan The Narrow Road to the Deep North, I couldn’t get through it, way too heavy for me as are most of his books, although I loved his “Gould’s Book of Fish” and this address in support of the Uluru statement is brilliant

I’m finding him opaque. He doesn’t seem to bother to bring the reader along. Which is a different issue than heaviness but may also prevent me from sticking with it.

2:40 AM Tuesday the 18th (almost Solstioce)…my internet went off without warning at 12:50 and the call to service informed me it was ‘maintenance’ – second time this has happened right when I’m in the middle of a post. Well, I waited and it’s back. Monday evening I had a lovely Holiday gathering with my zendo and worked on my pennant for Mo when I got home. There was a slew of cards and a package in the mail from you…now this lovely hurrah for us from you. Well HURRAH for YOU YOU YOU. and love too.

I hate it when then internet goes down. It’s not always obvious to me that that’s what happened. Glad your party was nice. I have a solstice party on Friday. It’s always a nice gathering with music and good food and people I haven’t seen all year. Ps I posted sthg yesterday and then after the day passed, made it private. I may email it to you. Just because.
