Creating paths

If this blue and white path is to remain, it will have to be unified, connected. Right now it just looks broken.

What about another tree?

I may stitch a way station halfway up the slope with a brightly lit path leading to it.

Let’s call this one, Green Silk Moon.

I’ve been fiddling with this quilt longer than I might otherwise because I’m not home. I don’t have other cloth projects to distract myself with. Those of you who know me know that I’m more of a beginner than a finisher.

I had the funny (illuminating?) thought: what if most of my quilts aren’t finished?

I know this has come up on Jude’s blog in the past, this idea of non-completion. She may have said something along the lines of: until they are sold or given away, every quilt in my possession can be considered incomplete.

It might sound burdensome but it’s actually liberating.

Colorado saw a little snow last night and it’s cold again.

The blue path, politically speaking, is not broken. What people are seeing is that there are more folks tuned in and involved than ever before. And the fact that Dems have an inclusive tent means that it has to accommodate differing opinions. So now that the group is more awake than ever before, there are more opinions to listen to. It’s not a bad thing. It’s just a thing.

In the quilt, I agree that the path needs to be more obviously connected.

As I left the bunk yesterday morning, there was a couple of inches of Fresh snow. I drove through seven states, somewhere in Connecticut it was 44°, and snowing. When I got to BM, it was 62° and beautiful. I dropped the football off in the end zone, turned around and came home and all of the new snow was gone. Peggy was an excellent companion, the entire trip, and is delighted to be home again. Today’s walk will have to be very very long to make up for yesterday‘s car time.

Dee~ I like all of the additions, each for their own reason. As far as the blue broken path…don’t we all travel on paths that are broken, bumpy and whatnot? We sometimes gingerly move along, stretch our legs over the broken bits – leap when we need to and then forget all of that while traveling the smooth parts – Tra La La. Until we reach a broken, bumpy patch again and pull up all of our old leaping skills. Perhaps some soft green moss in between, in case our footing slips a bit, providing a little softness to land in – in the broken parts.
    (((hugs)))
