Writer, fiber artist

Dee lives near Boston with her husband and dog, while her two grown sons reside out west. She teaches writing workshops throughout the academic year and creates quilts and collages all year long. After learning about Eliza Lucas Pinckney in a book about eco-dyeing, she started writing scenes set in South Carolina in the 1740’s. In September 2024, after more than 12 years of research and writing and three trips to Charleston, she self-published her debut novel, The Weight of Cloth: a novel.
