Under normal circumstances this would be a hard time .. given that nothing is even close to being normal I hope that you as a family will find peace with whatever decisions you make. Sending Blessings!

Very sorry for the news. We’re currently merging into something a day at a time watch with J’s mom. Makes me increasingly aware “expected” and “what is happening” are two different experiences.

I heard my husband tell his 89 year-old mother on the phone last night, “Don’t worry so much, Ma. If you die soon, I promise we’ll still have a big-ass party for you when it’s safe for us all to get together. But you can help us out by not dying soon.” Sad and funny at the same time. May your family find your own solace and joy however you choose.

Sending gentle, loving thoughts to K, to you Dee, to your boys and to all of your family, especially now during these times, when the ability to be together is so limited…Raise a glass to honor him, bring forth the memories and hold together.

Dee so sorry for your loss, I hope you will be able to say goodbye together with loved ones ( a very close friend lost her father recently and they were able to have an intimate ceremony for him, despite of and thanks to these weird times we all live in) sending hugs

I’m so sorry about the loss of K’s dad. It is true that no matter how expected a death may be, one is never really prepared. I wish you love and happy memories amid your sorrow.

Sending love and sincerely deep sympathy to you, Ken and all. Knowing your family and some of your friends, I know there will be celebration of K’s dad’s life that will be a beautiful coming together of wonderful stories (in many forms) and love.

Thanks, Maggie. Today was all about trying to put a few paragraphs together for the newspaper.
