Janet Bolton quilt

The quilter Janet Bolton was featured in one of the very first quilting books I ever bought and has remained a favorite.  Her small, nearly monochromatic still lifes are exquisitely composed and textured and have an upbeat whimsy about them… She composes at the ironing board and works small.

That book by the way is “The Passionate Quilter“.
