Light and dark, and another Photoshop Quilt

I return to the Brookline beeches for their beauty, their bulk, and their wisdom.  Just printed this Photoshopped photo onto a canvas-sy cotton through my inkjet.  The last transfer of the beeches that I stitched into a quilt sold at Newton Open Studios.

Here’s the photo, untouched.

I love the way these trunks translate into CREATURE, as in MOBILE — is this thing going to grunt, tug and start lumbering off towards Boston?!!

With all the gold leaves capturing light and giving it back to me, I can’t believe that I asserted earlier in the year that I preferred these trees naked!

Keeping light resident while looking at the road, at the grey, at the light-resistant — there’s the trick!
