Circles in the Studio — One

Here, a circle being stitched to a square… a gift in progress.  Portrait of my father, circa 1946 – 49.

Landscape-waiting-to-happen.  Though I rarely ‘make’ my own fabric, this brown back was created last summer using bleach.

Doll needing head and arms.  The raised-pleat pink fabric hails from the Victorian era.  My mother bought it for me from a vintage store while I was still in high school.  I can’t remember if I ever wore it or not.
