It’s all awful.
Yes. Right now paramedics are bringing people who have coded and have no pulse directly to the morgue instead of ER. But ambulance lines still running 12 hours in places.
The worst of it is that it doesn’t need to be this way. This all makes me feel scared .. angry .. hopeless. God Bless us all.
It could have gone a different way. The prison population and the huge numbers of homeless in LA had an impact. As did all those protests. And thanksgiving travel.
So much we cannot do anything about
So true. Sigh. As for Georgia? I gave money and now can only hope and wait.
(((Dee))) such devastating news coming out of the US this week on so many fronts….
Shitstorm doesn’t even begin to describe it.
all your loved ones have been on my mind …
Oh thank you. Acey.
Hard days, when hope only hides in our memories. The news in L.A. County this morning has been rough, again. Again. It doesn’t help that we now have cases of the UK variant, 70% faster spread. I’ve barely even gone out for walks, body has aged a lot. Just to go on…
Be well, thinking of you and yours.
I think of your son out there. I see the LA pictures on the news- unhooking people who don’t have a chance. Making room for someone who might live. The nurses and doctors. Hell on Earth. It’s all so hard to get your mind around. Like Battlefield Medicine. And it is a WAR.
