Grey grey grey

Constant beeping today. I think they’ve finished the hole around the block and now need to maneuver a succession of dump trucks to the curb to be filled. It’s faint, the beeping, and still I hate it.

From weekend

There is a severe weather warning in effect. These almost never mean anything anymore. A little snow maybe?

I needle-sculpted her face and gave her some hair.

She’s a right old hag. I’ll be adding more hair. More definition to the blouse.

And speaking of hair.

I’ll be getting to recent comments shortly. Gotta make some black bean soup first. It IS cold out.

Love your haircut … it really looks nice. Here we have gray cold rainy days .. came home soaked from voting. Didn’t look busy .. but it has since stopped raining and I’m hoping it’ll get more people out to vote.

You both look great! I haven’t had a real haircut since January 2020. My stylist never came back after the pandemic. I just keep chopping it off. Maybe it’s time…

I cut my hair (and K’s) for those years. I don’t have a stylist per we but a salon that I go back to. It’s always a little bit of a crap shoot.

The haircut looks very good. Having my hair cut feels like putting my life in someone’s hands. It can be traumatic.

I so love your hag. In my mind, her name is Griselda and she reminds me of a kitchen witch I had many years ago.

Your haircut is not at all a “Karen” haircut; I see a sophisticated woman and it looks great Dee, sharp, clean lines. Something must have been in the air because I also felt the urge last week to get a haircut; it had been over a year. Prior to that, I had cut my hair during the Pandemic years, sometimes with success, mostly it looked wonky, ok in front but the back trim sort of went slanted. Luckily I wear a bob, mostly all one length so I didn’t do too much damage… As I am a no frills woman, my haircut took all of 10 minutes. Had about 4 inches lopped off into a chin length bob. I go to an inexpensive hair cut chain so never have the same person twice, lots of turnover but usually manage to get a good haircut.. Since I have a very high forehead, I always have a lot of bangs, the first words out of my mouth when I sit down are, “don’t touch the bangs!”

Don’t touch the bangs sounds like the title of a memoir! The only thing I didn’t like about cutting my hair in the last four years (and before) was the clean up. K would help with the back.

And thanks about this cut. I like it better after washing it a few times.

I would love to see an exhibit of all the dolls you’ve made. This hag is a grand hag indeed. I would sleep with her by my head and have glorious magical dreams Im sure.
Your cut is seriously excellent and sends subtle hints of your spunk and spark.
    InDEEed.

oh, that short cut must be a dream to wash and dry! … and it looks so smart

and your hag looks like a Gertie to me … a gentle soul, with her wild hair and sweet smile

Gertie as a nickname for Gertrude, my paternal grandmother who rather resembled your cloth granny … her full name was Gertrude Elizabeth Snow Barnett … I was given the last three as my birth name
