Looking back

Before getting out of bed, I go through the camera roll and read some old blog posts and end up feeling deflated. Sad. I had work to share. Things to say. Not so much now.

This backward looking was precipitated by a recent email exchange with Wendy Golden-Levitt. If I get the energy, will post more about that soon.

This was one of two quilts that I sent to her.

I’ll end with this intriguing composition. Symphony Hall image placed on silver-spray painted paper. I think it was ephemeral. Nothing got cemented down or saved. Maybe I like it better for that reason?

Wendy .. a truly amazing generous lady. Just another wonderful person I’ve been blessed to meet in this appreciated circle.

Dee~ I could silently move through your house for hours trying to absorb all of your trinkets, art, book titles…fascinating. I spotted the Michelle in NYC Pomegranate right away (I have one too 🙂) and I really like your Crow Cloth. As for deflated or defeated…I get it. I had a restless sleep filled with questions that I can’t find the answers for. And then here I am on a Saturday morning, going and trying to. As for Wendy…I have no words for the pure amazement of this woman and I am grateful to my bones that she is a part of my life.
Also, additionally…as for YOU…I am so grateful you are a part of my life. Your creativity, knowledge and giant heart (just to name three qualities, for the sake of space) have filled me, taught me and supported me for years now. Our one of a kind Dee! Boy am I lucky and grateful for you showing up here all of these years! xo

Nancy yes. That Michelle Pomegranate and that Grace hand and that Jude pair of cats. As I was backward looking I can across a post with a picture of your son! Remember he came to an open house here? It was a long time ago.

Thank you for your kind words. This circle means the world to me.

Dee~ Yes, I recognized the Jude and Grace pieces too 🙂 The pomegranate piece really jumped out – maybe because of my own gift or because of my blog name! heehee
I do remember that…because every time I look at the cloth they bought from you for a birthday gift for me, I think of that. It was so cool that they could come meet you ❤️ When I’ve recently told them about your book and such…they know exactly who you are. Love that.
