Only good news

There is a possibility (according to people smarter than I) that the pace of the aggressive take down of our government and the GOP’s rampant lawlessness will (ironically) trigger the regime’s downfall. Dare we hope?

Insurance lawyer / former Miss Colorado hopeful managed to get a Grand Jury to indict James Comey, but couldn’t get any other prosecutor to sign onto the charging documents and couldn’t get a Grand Jury specialist to address the Grand Jury. She’s in way over her head.

The DOJ is suing seven (I think?) states to gain access to their voter information but Marc Elias is on it.

(Everytime someone says please protect Jasmine Crockett, I want to add, yes yes and please protect Marc Elias).

ABC brought Kimmel back (more than 6MM viewers tuned in) AND as of last night so did Sinclair and Nexstar.

The way the rogue Supreme Court keeps handing the orange despot whatever he wants seems to have convinced even centrist democrats that we really have to expand the court.

More than half the members of the UN got up and walked out on Netanyahu yesterday.

It’s pretty clear Donald Trump will never be awarded a Nobel Peace Prize.

Personal good news: the dump across town accepted two boxes of our books and I found a sweet fall wreath in the swap shop.

The new author copies that I ordered (hopefully free of typos!) are defective but I think time and pressure will flatten the warp.

This sweet quilt showed up last week. I’ll admit I forgot all about it (there are two other big ones I’d like to locate though… ). It’s from the early days when I used a machine zig zag to appliqué parts of my my houses, a technique I don’t like so much anymore. Anyway, as if in answer to earlier comments about how unpopulated my house quilts are, this one features five cats.

Have a nice weekend all!

I adore that house quilt, Dee! The contrast. The rows of houses like streets. And the cabbage and artichoke fabric. Love it!

Dee~ What a happy lil quilt! Has such similar, but different look to it…the sunny colors? The firmer machine lines? Beautiful cat filled row houses ❤️ What year did you start with the love of houses, I’m wondering?
The scene at the UN was really something! I’d add the independent channel creators who deliver real news that is honest and deep.

Well I’m going through a box of photos, collages, and color copies from the Kate seventies and early 80’s. There are houses absolutely everywhere!

Yes thank goodness for all the folks doing the hard work of journalism without the backing of a paper or network.

The quilt makes me happy and the wreath is wonderful. Wasn’t that quite the scene at the UN? Makes me long to see that kind of bold shunning of T.
