Vine writing on blue sky. What does it say?
Some happiness comes in purple garb.
Or pink. And the sparrows! My god, they are insistent.
The air is cool today and does not reek of smoke.
Meanwhile, the To Do list includes: contacting caterers, reaching out to a minister I met once to see if he would officiate, getting quotes for window cleaning, hiring tree guy, and auditioning dog carer (we can’t have Finn home the day we host a Celebration of Life service).
I’ve noticed you leaning in to purple in your quilts.
Well I actually had a request for purple. But maybe it’s more general.
The first thing I saw in the bittersweet vine was “mother and child”. maybe another sign from the other side.

The colors of those Morning Glories are amazing. Having a Celebration of Life in order to gather with all the families and friends that were such a big part of Danny’s growing up years is a wonderful idea. I’m sure they’ll have lots of bittersweet stories to tell.

Today, Sun. July 19 is a Red Garb day because Spain is in the World Cup and their team is know as La Roja, The Red One. My girls and I are bedecked in red, they are wearing solid red t-shirts, I only have a red and white striped t-shirt but good enough. One of them is even wearing red panties.. We like to go all out with clothes and when possible, menus to befit the occasion. .! Since I thought my lads, England, would be in the World Cup, I have no Spanish foods to enjoy today so the next best thing: a bowl of pasta with an amazing Red sauce made by my daughter Erika, laced with Roman herbs that she brought back with her from her recent trip to Italy. She made a batch of sauce to put in my freezer before we went to Taos. I’ve already made the pasta and had some for an early lunch and will have more later in the evening: Now my ode to Spain:
The rain in Spain falls mainly on the plain
To one and all, long may Spain reign,
For they will cause Argentina some pain!
When as in 2010, the win the World Cup again!.
What a festive scene! We’re rooting for Spain too and as it happens I plan to make lasagne later.
