Row houses resurrection 10 Replies Old strip of huts getting stitched. The grey blue linen came from Montreal. Hoping for a little of satisfaction of stitch to counter a wall of discouragement. Share this:ShareFacebookLinkedInTumblrLike this:Like Loading...
Love the little houses–and the moon <3
Thanks heather. They have been lying around and suddenly found each other.
I’m sorry to hear that there is disappointment to be countered…your little houses are the perfect escape. They look like beach houses to me. I just love the gray background fabric.
Yeah, I am working on feeling lighter about a lot of things, including this discouragement… I had not made the association to beach houses, but I see it now! That’s a light and warm image, isn’t it? Cabanas on the beach?
I like this more restrained palette Dee!
Restrained? The houses contain the previous saturated colors, but the SURROUND is more muted. I guess that makes a big difference.
Gorgeous. Satisfaction of stitch, I like that, it’s just right. xo
I find I’m warming to the increase of spaces in your latest approach? I think my eye like to rest, breathe maybe even stretch between beautiful edges and objects.
creating space for the eye to rest is a lot of what I’m thinking about Maggie… in and around the house, too, regarding, esp., clutter.
And Peggy, yes to satisfaction of stitch — decided to back these Row Houses with batting and a back… but the layers are still soft, making stitching enjoyable!
