Scrub the tea kettle

I am relying today on how little things matter. Drinking five tall glasses of water before I retire to bed.

Scrubbing the tea kettle.   Enjoying a recent discovery from the yard.   And meeting a gentle deadline.  I’m also going to consider this: “Art is the act of structuring time.”  (Julia Cameron)

When I was young I experimented with strange food combinations to help induce wild dreaming but drinking that much water would just make me have to get up two hours later and go to the bathroom!

I decided I am becoming “set in my ways” and I’m absolutely okay with that. Whether you call it structuring time or rituals or simply habits, there is a peacefulness that comes with the quotidian.

Good for you for scrubbing your teakettle–I recently gave up on the mineral deposits in mine and pulled a different one out of the cupboard instead! And gorgeous dragonfly.

I must shamefacedly admit that I was scrubbing off grease and grunge… not mineral deposits. The good news? Most of it came off!
