I started machine embroidering naysaying quotes all over this global warming quilt with the idea that the white threads would obscure the landscape in the same way that the stupid, anti-science positions held by some on the right are white washing the environment. Maybe I will find the last attribution and finish it up. On the other hand, I really don’t want to spend MORE time spelling out the kind of idiocy that makes my blood boil. So I might cut the thing up. Yeah. That’s what I’ll do. Above: “If you believe in God then intellectually you cannot believe in manmade global warming.” Rush Limbaugh Above: “Unproven science stuff.” Benishek “By now we’ve achieved apocalypse fatigue.” George Will “A load of socialist, communist crap”. Glenn Beck “Just so you’ll know, global warming is a total fraud and it’s being designed because what you’ve got is you’ve got liberals who get elected at the local level want state government to do the work and let them make the decisions. Then, at the state level they want the federal government to do it… They want to create global government TO CONTROL all of our lives.” Rep. Dana Rohrbacher, CA “The Earth and the environment are the progressive replacement for God now because of our bad SINS according to Al Gore the earth has a temperature–uh oh. Unless you woke up yesterday where the temperature in the greater New York area was, I believe, right around 48 degrees here in New York in late summer.” Glenn Beck “This is the worst winter in some parts of America — perhaps we should be worried about global cooling.” Steve Doocy.
all these quotes beggar belief
I know. I could find 100 more in less than ten minutes.
I would burn them
The quilt? Now that is an interesting idea. Especially as just today our new little fire pit arrived (a gift bought with points for my husbands 25 years of service to his company). I like it!
the transformative power of fire
wow. witch like 🙂
Could be. Also pure pragmatic dedication to clearing things out.
