My brother (Georgia) emailed that he and his wife had shots early in January. His daughter and her partner in Vermont both had COVID in January. Husband and I have qualified for our first dose- 74 years old. Next one is 3/20. Both of my children will wait until age 50 gets a chance (then I might be able to invite them into my house). I go into the Grocery store every week on Monday. For the entire year. Every Monday. We all wear masks. Carts are sanitized. We stopped wearing medical gloves to grocery a few months ago.. I have not eaten in a restaurant in almost 18 months.I do go to a salon to get my haircut- we all are masked. I don’t know anyone who has died. I see quite a few Confederate Flags. I still make your Pantry Soup. From your exact recipe. I have one mask with elastic wrapped around the button of my Winter Coat- so I always have a mask. Handy. In case someone with a dog walks by as I am shoveling or getting the mail.
Congrats on the shots! One of our boys is vaccinated so once we get shots, we could potentially get together.
I know that grocery shopping is pretty safe and maybe it was laziness that won out in that one for me. I plan to resume soon. At least I’m not washing the bags and cans anymore! Or letting the mail sit for three days.

Wow I’m impressed by all your numbers of this and that. I’ve had probably a dozen people testing positive with mild symptoms .. my daughter being one. A friend that very early on spent 3 weeks in the hospital including 1 week in ICU. Sadly just a few weeks ago a cousin passed.
All 4 of my grandchildren lost there jobs .. my twin grandsons that are on the autism spectrum have had the hardest time of it. I will say that since they have been back in school they are doing much better.
Michael and I have both had our first shots which is just beyond great.
Like so many we’re just taking things one day at a time ..
I’m so sorry about your cousin, Tina. And job losses are rampant. So glad the kids can be back in school. It kind of feels like a lost year for so many students.

I do not know any one who has, has had or has died of covid, personally.
Two of the people I know who’ve had Covid were completely asymtomatic
4, the number of people I know who got tested because they thought they had it. But didn’t.
I especially like your uncounted times … boy oh boy can I relate
and never did I ever think I would cut Don’s hair … but now, every two weeks
I finally got my own hair cut last week … found out my stylist, her husband (who owns a bar) and her 2 year old all had Covid after a family reunion at Christmas … such high-risk professions and then to be felled by family … they all survived, but she said the symptoms were awful
I will fly this week, for the first time in ages … I fully expect it to be totally weird
