Slept thru eclipse

I had set a timer and everything. Oh well. But I’m not complaining because sleep is a cushion and a paradise, except for the dreams this morning in which I had way too much to do.

Ours is a June garden and the approach of its glory is evident everywhere. I’ll leave you with some pictures.

And also, the Times headline is below, by way of tracking the unthinkable. This happened. Is still happening.

I did see it … watched from my stitching chair as the last bit of white edge flickered out … then went to bed and awoke as the light reappeared on the opposite edge …

love seeing your garden, but wait … is that a school yard beyond your fence??

Cool! Yes there’s an elementary school just over the neighbor’s fence. It’s really nice to hear kids playing throughout the academic year. A little less nice when someone takes a stick and starts dinging the swingset bars. And don’t ask about recorders.

I didn’t even know about the eclipse until the next day, someone mentioned it to me; slept through it anyway;-)

I saw the first bit hidden under a cloud. It was way past my bedtime.
