A night out

April 26, 2025

The last time I saw Alvin Ailey was in 2013. It’s a little hard to believe sometimes how time passes. The show, no surprise, was spectacular and moving. It was good to get out.

Stitching to a terrible Netflix Series, Ransom Canyon. Hallmark movie without the Christmas, I say, including the signature near-miss handsome lead. This hero looks like a mash up of Timothy Olyphant and Matt Damon and all I can see is how he’s not Olyphant. Then there’s Ugly Brooke Shields. If you watch, you’ll know who I mean. Lots of preposterous story lines.

Walked over to Chinatown before the performance last night and got a little turned around getting back to the Wang Center which isn’t the Wang Center anymore but hey. It was a lot of steps, steps on uneven, wet, and unpredictable sidewalks. I’m tired today.

Your table filled works of art … beautiful!! If I had to pick a favorite it would be the one with the black binding. I’m flying to Toronto to help my oldest sister celebrate her 80th birthday Wednesday morning … 3 other sisters will be flying in as well. Five sisters under one roof is a very big deal in are family so we’re all a bit giddy. Sounds like you’re closer everyday to being your new .. old self.

We did loose our sister Caroline about five years ago .. one of the younger ones she was only 59 when she passed. She’ll be with us in spirit!

the too-long walk … I feel you in my knees (I keep forgetting not to lead with my knees when getting into bed … I mean, how lame can one get?)

love those table quilts, which definitely have me thinking … and the 1361 days to go illustration is unfortunately apt
