I know it’s Sunday because football is on.

I baked shortbread.

Took off the “planet” behind the tree. Initially I thought: things get stacked visually in nature so why not here? But it was distracting.
I’m going to connect some of those branches with black stitching.
Hard at binding. Got a half dozen pieces to do.
I’ll close with a few pics from our gathering in Danny’s honor on the 13th.

Dee~ I can feel the energy in the house. I feel it was a good choice to move forward with the memorial. May his memory continue to be a blessing.
Looking at the moon, I began humming Woven (Harvest) Moon 🙂
A gathering, a coming together to mourn, yes, but most of all to celebrate Danny. A long time ago I came across these words: “When we lose someone we love, it seems that time stands still. What moves through us is a silence; a quiet sadness. A longing for one more day… one more word… one more touch. We may not understand why you left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember, not just that you died, but that you lived…”
I look at the panel of photos displayed in this home of love and Danny’s energy, his essence, just flows as does the love from all gathered. Yes there was and is sadness but there is also a special, quiet joy, to see this gathering; to see the honor given to this young man and to his family. from those who knew him and love him and those of us who knew him through your words and photos Dee. Thank you for sharing him with us so we could also love him.
Thank you for putting so much that I have yet to articulate into words, Marti.
