I plan to make stock. Finish reading someone else’s novel about Eliza Lucas Pinckney. Play “the rope game” out back with Finn. Stretch my neck. Fill a few pages. Just added a new category to this blog: “Winter”.
you all in the northeast have my deepest sympathies….I keep saying maybe you must be use to it, but I simply cannot imagine it each winter. Not for the faint of heart or mind….hangeth in there, Spring is coming~
Thanks Karen. We are used to cold and storms and snow, but not like THIS. I just held a ladder and my breath as my husband climbed up on the roof to clear it off. Before the next foot of snow arrives!
Love the see through dog and the winter shots too….I made NO plans…but I’m roasting thin potato slices in herbs, and have steamed broccoli and a chicken breast breaded with cumin and fennel seeds in the works + one last glass of white wine. We won’;t get much snow here but plenty of -degree arctic air is slated for the weekend.
That dinner sounds outstanding. Particularly for a cold night! We had chicken thighs with sheeps milk cheese and scallions under the skin, brussel sprouts, a great salad, and a buttery turnip/carrot mash! My hunch about this next storm? A miss. Stay warm!!

Boston is really getting it bad, I feel so bad for you! Do be careful! Roof shoveling is so dangerous, yet so necessary.
It was done without incident. Whew!
