The weight of the shadows, the ungodly sap-the-breath-out-of-you black and yellow, the repetition of images echoing layers and compression and age. I’m encouraged to take that nap that suddenly seems like a good idea after a fun couple of hours painting – as my feet are frozen. Do you realize this weather has (among god knows what else) something to do with a longer than normal lack of sun spots?
Hi Dana, it IS melting and the temps are rising and the light is shouting ‘spring’ — I really lost my blogging mojo this past month though… just completely overwhelmed by the weather and little Finn! I hope to get back this coming week…. thanks so much for checking in and I’ll be back in a few days!!

Wonderful images!
spring is just around the corner Dee!
oh no not rain! where will all that snow then go?
I would be tired, too, if I was you, and having a young pup on top of it all — but he’s a darling. Love those batik house photos!
Thinking of you Dee. Is the snow melting?
