Last week a friend picked me up and we went to a Boston College exhibit about the Yeats family.
When I did a semester in Dublin in the 70’s, I visited the Yeats household and in college wrote at least one paper about WB Yeats, but I either forgot or never learned how talented and expressive the entire family was. There were painters, set designers, needle artists, and printers. Not surprisingly, most of my photos are of the needlework.

A semester abroad in Dublin must have been an amazing experience. Would love to hear more about young Dee wandering about Ireland. Must be some good stories there.
Some of those stories are best forgotten!
Nooo! Embrace the crazy stories from your younger days. Plus what happens in Dublin stays in Dublin at least back in those day.
You will have to tell me in person and not in a blog comment section. I could trade a few downunder tales (not in the outback, but in Sydney) to compare notes.
Let’s.
Dee~ Interesting. Glad you had a little adventure. I like seeing how all of those stitches make a beautiful whole!
Yes, it was good to get out and be distracted. The embroideries mostly limited themselves to the running stitch, which makes them all the more impressive.
I have not been to that museum in a long time. I will try and get over there before the show ends. Thanks for the heads up. The embroideries are stunning.
It’s in the old Cardinal’s residence on the north side of Commonwealth. Easy to visit—there’s parking and admission is free.
