August 4, 2025. If you would like a password for some eventual memoir-type posts, please let me know in the comments. I’ve got quite a few in queue for sharing.
Wanna read what Meta’s AI said about me? In getting up some steam to work on my Etsy shop, I searched #deemallonquilts on Instagram and this blurb popped up. It stunned me honestly.

You know, I’ll take it!

This is how the chopped quilt turned out. Three pieces of it, anyway.
A slow, hot day here. My calendar is blessedly empty this week which I love but also it has a way of making me feel a little lost. Maybe I don’t mind.
I’ve been thinking about Emmet Till for some reason.
Dog walk. Cream biscuits. Cod dredged in buttermilk and homemade bread crumbs (neither biscuit nor fish were delicious). Weeding — endless weeding. Trying out my new iron.
I finally set up my Author’s Page on Goodreads. I won’t bore you with why it was so involved, but it was. Also, because I don’t seem to be able to correct a typo in my book blurb, I had to research THAT. Turns out a librarian forum is involved (WTF?). No wonder when I had to reset my password (because of course I had to), it included the words “Christalmighty.”
I’ll end with three images from summers past. I’ve taken to clicking on Amazon Photo links that show up in notifications.

what a beautifully stated and genuine endorsement of your art, Dee.
I don’t know if we can call anything AI “genuine” but maybe it’s kind of accurate?
I’d love to see your work, password please 😉
And very cool bio. I like it.
Password, please.
Is this Deb?
Dee~ Wow! How did AI do that?! The chopped quilt gives an inside out kind of vibe 🙂
And of course, password please.
Yes to the password. Curious…why the password:? protective mode?
Didn’t need AI to describe your Art: both in quilt making and writing. Both stand on their own in terms of the direct, bold, honest, creative process that brings them to light and life.
Thanks Marti. Today you remind me of Michelle.
password please!
