Connecting sections of Global Warming quilt, as opposed to keeping patches defined and separate. There’s that Indian meditation thread again, here representing unnatural radiating heat. I’m not sure it’s staying.

    I love how your cloths are always such a riot of colors! And something about the orangey-red stitches in that first pic really caught my eye. This is wonderful.

    Hi Nancy — these colors feel ESPECially riotous after spending some time in Jude Hill’s class composing with whites!

    connecting is different… I usually either let the patterns connect across seams, all on their own, or use sheers to cover seams and connect areas… it feels very *new* to use thread to pull a pattern’s color from one rectangle into another… it’s fun!

    thanks, Karen… I am pretty much the usual mix of distraction and dedicated effort, with both boys here for the summer, and husband in and out of town….
